Electronics and Computer Science Conference 2020

Electronics and Computer Science Conference 2020

The "Conference on Electronics and Computer Science" was held from August 24 to 28. It was a week of virtual lectures on various topics with the participation of students and postgraduate students from the Departments of Electronics and Computer Science of the UNPSJB, as well as from other Universities and professionals from different fields.

The Conference is a space for the community in general, but in particular for university students to find out whether their future lies in continuing as researchers or in the industry.

Course: Python applied to Engineering

This course arose due to the need to learn this popular programming language, which currently offers many applications and is increasingly being used by researchers in the fields of natural language processing, signal processing, data science and in the future in embedded systems with MicroPython and CircuitPython.

The objective of the course is to give an introduction to the language, libraries and packages as well as the use of development tools and continuous deployment in embedded systems applications or Internet of Things to be more specific.

About Us

Reactivation Group

Who are we?

The Student Branch of the National University of Patagonia was born on November 11, 1995, when students from the Comodoro Rivadavia campus organized the first Electronics Conference. We are a group of students from the Computer Science and Electronic Engineering careers who carry out multidisciplinary activities that provide us with new knowledge and skills.

What does our logo mean?

It uses the original IEEE logo as its base. The kite commemorates the famous electricity experiment performed by Benjamin Franklin and inside, where originally the right hand ruler would have been, there is an Albatross, symbol of the UNPSJB and characteristic fauna of the Patagonian coasts.

IEEE

What is IEEE?

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (known by its acronym IEEE) is a worldwide association of engineers dedicated to standardization and development in technical areas.

With thousands of members and volunteers in 160 countries, it is the largest international non-profit association formed by professionals in new technologies, such as electricity, electronics, systems and computing, applied mathematics, biomedicine, telecommunications, among others.

Geographical Distribution

The IEEE members are organized geographically into 10 Regions:

  • Regions 1 to 6: United States
  • Region 7: Canada
  • Region 8: Europe, Africa and the Middle East
  • Region 9: Latin America
  • Region 10: Asia and Oceania

Each Region is subdivided into Sections.

Each Section has a Board of Directors elected annually from among all its professional members.

All Section Directors from each Region make up the Regional Board of Directors.

We belong to Region 9, Argentina Section

Chapters and Student Branches depend on each Section Branch.

There are more than 2,000 Student Branches.
